Fall is upon us

Here in Pittsburgh the weather changes as much as a person's mood. Two days ago it was 90 degrees. Today it's 52. I think it's safe to say that fall is upon us though. At least I'm hoping! That means a little more time in the park until it starts to really cool down. But more importantly some more pumpkin spice lattes for this momma!

Will is doing wonderful. We've had a rough week though. Sunday in the middle of the night baby boy woke up every hour feeling warm. Not too bad but warm. By 5 am I took his temp and it was 102. I ended up taking him to the doctor when they opened at 8 am. They said his throat was irritated and it was a viral infection. Keep him comfortable and just continue with the medicine. When we got home I took his temp again and it was 103.5! I freaked out. We almost took him to Children's but in the end it went down and after three days of fever and sleepless nights he was back to normal! And we have an awesome milestone nearly off our list!!! First tooth is coming through on the bottom! Which is what I'm contributing to the fever earlier this week. Now it's back to trying to get him onto a better sleep schedule.

It feels like this year has gone by way too fast. Will is going to be one in two months! It's major party planning time. I'm still deciding on where to have the party. We can rent a place in South Park which has a kitchen and all the chairs and tables and heat! Or we can just have it at the house. The problem with having it at the house is the amount of people we're inviting. The first birthday is very special and I wanted to have a few more friends invited for it. Plus we have a downstairs and our grandparents aren't able to make it down the stairs as easily anymore. Just trying to do what is best for everyone. Keep on the look out though for more party prep posts! Also a very emotional post about our NICU journey nearly one year ago.

Have a happy fall and go enjoy a tasty pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks.
